Participating members: over 50 Alliance players, ranging in level from 14 to 27
Starting location: Astraanar
Primary raid target: Bloodhoof Village
Movement 1: Astraanar to Auberdine
The Alliance rallied at Astraanar and moved to meet at Auberdine docks.
Movement 2:
The Alliance rallied at Minithril Harbor and took the boat to Theramore Isle.
Movement 3:
The Alliance rallied at Theramore
Isle and slipped into the Barrens without being seen.
Movement 4:
The Alliance rallied at the entrance to the Barrens, and moved to Bloodhoof Village.
Assault 1: Bloodhoof Village
The Alliance charged upon Bloodhoof Village, slaying many horde. It took less than one minute for several level 40 guards to spawn, decimating the entire raiding party.
Regroup 1:
Defeated,
the Alliance regrouped upon the hill next to Bloodhoof village. Many Horde players arrived and Battle 1 erupted.
Battle 1:
Battle 1 went smoothly for the Alliance. Their hunters superior firepower was able to pick off lower level and higher level Horde players alike. The battle was again disrupted when level 40 guards spawned, decimating the entire group and forcing them into the lake.
Regroup 2:
Victorious against the Horde in battle, but not against the town of Bloodhoof, the Alliance sought more battle and regrouped in stonebull lake.
Battle 2:
The Horde would not have Alliance in their lands. They grouped within the town and charged upon the Alliance within the lake. Again, despite roughly equal numbers, due to superior firepower the Alliance quickly decimated the Horde force.
Movement 5:
The Alliance moved from Bloodhoof village to Ratchet in the Barrens. Repairs were made to equipment and the group restocked on goods.
Movement 6:
The Alliance moved from Ratchet to Raven Hill.
Battle 3:
A battle was fought at Raven Hill.
At first, a single guard, level 32, was defeated. The Horde were ready and waiting however and although the Alliance was victorious against the Horde in battle, several NPC guards spawned and quickly decimated the group. The Alliance fell back to what they believed was a safe distance, but alas, the guards were relentless and all was lost.
Regroup 3:
The Alliance AND the Horde each regrouped a ways away from Raven Hill and the largest PvP battle occurred then between the two sides. The Alliance was victorious in that battle, but the raid overall was beginning to become far less controlled - many Horde players wanted to simply PvP while others wanted to move upon Sen'Jin village.
Movement 7:
What was left of the Horde attackers moved from the hill beside Raven Hill to Sen'Jin village.
Assault 2:
The Horde seiged Sen'Jin village, killing several NPC's but ultimately being completely wiped out when 10 level 40 guards spawned to defend the city.
Battle 4:
The final major battle occurred at Sen'Jin village. The Horde initiated the battle, wanting revenge for
the attacks on their territory. A well organized force of Horde players swept through the ranks of the remaining Alliance players and sucessfully defended Sen'Jin from further attack.
===
Overall Winner:
The Alliance was the overall winner in this raid, because they won each major battle except the last, and they did a fair amount of damage to three separate Horde villages.
The Horde must recieve special mentions however for their final victory at Sen'Jin, which was well orchestrated and ended all further Alliance raid attempts for the evening.
Commentary:
Is the guard system too difficult? Even high level players (level 60) have great difficulty assaulting any city or village because the guards respawn too quickly and in massive quantity.
